Announcement

Due to political unrest and recent severe flooding in the country, the SMACC Global Summit 2025: Foundations will now take place online. Please refrain from booking any travel or accommodation in Bali.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but this decision has been made with the safety and comfort of all delegates, speakers, and moderators in mind. We will be in touch shortly with further details.

Thank you for your understanding.

The fight to end animal cruelty on social media is entering a new phase, and the SMACC Global Summit 2025: Foundations is where it begins. For the first time, SMACC is bringing together voices from across the globe for an online gathering dedicated entirely to tackling cruelty content. This online edition marks the first stage in a series of SMACC Global Summit events that will drive forward the worldwide effort to end cruelty online.

Across two days, participants will explore the scale of the problem through SMACC’s latest data, gain practical resources, and hear expert perspectives on the human–animal abuse link, legislation, law enforcement, and how social media can be a force for good. With interactive discussions and audience Q&A, the Summit is designed not just to inform, but to inspire action.

Accessible from anywhere in the world, this pre-gathering lays the foundations for our full in-person SMACC Global Summit next year, the first EVER event of its kind, and for the growing international movement to end online cruelty and protect animals
